It is the 4th August 2023 and today was my last day at my college performing beside my peers and I am incredibly grateful to have performed with all of you today.
Starting College on the 2nd September 2019, I experienced a lot and I’m so so so grateful for the opportunities that I received on my way, to get where I wanted to get to I was determined to reach my goal, even if I had to work my way up, and I did and I never been so proud of myself because I was doubted by some people saying that “he won’t be able to handle it” and all that but look at me now, I didn’t let that stop me because I knew I could do it.
I am incredibly grateful for my family for always supporting me every step of the way because of you, I am able to do what I love and I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you and to the support workers that I had through my journey through college you are incredible and just know all the support that you gave me made me even more confident, and I keep saying thank you but I am so so so grateful for all the support I received, thank you.
To my course when finishing my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts on the 22nd June I knew that I might not see my peers again at Summer school and that this was going to be our last performance together, but to see a few familiar faces again at Summer school warmed my heart because performing with the most talented people again was an honour, and I am so grateful to have shared the stage with all of them.
The opportunities that I received in my course were insane and so surreal I still can’t believe it all happened, I am the most luckiest guy in the world and I am forever grateful for everything that our teachers did to make it all happen because the experience was so incredible and educational for the future and I am so grateful.
In conclusion leaving the college today it was difficult to try and say goodbye to everyone because I have been in College now for almost 4 years and that’s a long time to be in College, and I really didn’t think I would make it this far but I did, I am now 20 years old and I first started at 16 and look at me now, to my peers I wish you all the best for the future, thank you so much for everything and to the teachers thank you so much for everything, this course meant so much to me and Ioved every minute of it, thank you so much.
Matt
